there is no doubt in my heart that angels exist

who walk our earth restoring hope to each day

bringing comfort in the presence of chaos

exchanging burdens for bliss

a pleasant reminder that heaven is not so far away

I hear them in the voices

of my dearest friends

feel their warmth in my family’s hugs

sense their presence all around me

and I’m eternally grateful

that even on my worst days

I can smile to myself

and think

how beautiful it is to know

I’ve walked alongside angels
